The full works

Floor Sanding

from£22per m²guide price

Complete sand-and-refinish for pine, oak and hardwood floors using virtually dust-free triple-stage machines — a surface that feels like new underfoot.

Full restoration sanding takes your floor back to bare timber and builds it up again in graduated grits, from coarse levelling passes through to fine finishing cuts. Our triple-stage extraction machines capture around 98% of the dust before it ever reaches the air, which means no film of fine dust over your skirting, shelves and soft furnishings — and no need to move out while we work.

We level uneven boards, punch or cut hidden nails, and prepare the timber properly so the finish can do its job. The result is a floor that not only looks freshly laid but is genuinely smoother underfoot, easier to clean, and protected for years to come.

What's included

  • Coarse-to-fine graduated sanding passes
  • Dust extraction rated at ~98% capture
  • Nail punching and loose board fixing
  • Edge and corner detail sanding
  • Two coats of premium finish (oil or lacquer)
  • Written aftercare plan

Ideal for

  • Tired varnished floors
  • Painted boards
  • Worn pine & oak
  • Pre-sale refresh

Draughts, gone for good

Wood Floor Gap Filling

from£6per m²guide price

Draughty gaps filled with reclaimed slivers and flexible fillers that move with your floor through the seasons.

Gaps between old floorboards are usually the result of decades of seasonal movement — the timber shrinks in winter and swells in summer. Filling them properly means choosing a method that moves with the wood: we insert matching reclaimed timber slivers for wider gaps, and use flexible resin-based fillers coloured to your floor for fine ones.

Done well, gap filling stops the draughts, stops crumbs and dust disappearing into the void, and makes the floor far easier to keep clean. Done badly — with rigid filler — it cracks out within a season or two. We will also tell you honestly when a floor is better left unfilled: very wide seasonal gaps, and floors over poorly ventilated subfloors, are often best left to breathe.

What's included

  • Gap width survey and honest advice
  • Reclaimed timber slivers for wide gaps
  • Colour-matched flexible filler for fine gaps
  • Flush sanding after filling
  • Draught reduction you can feel

Ideal for

  • Draughty Victorian boards
  • Rental refurbishments
  • Allergy sufferers
  • Dusty floors

Invisible repairs

Wood Floor Repairs

from£15per boardguide price

Damaged boards replaced with matched timber, structural fixes, and invisible repairs that last — we restore the floor, not just its appearance.

Fireplaces removed, old radiator pipes, water damage, biscuit-tin lids in the airing cupboard, and decades of DIY fixes — old floors carry the scars of the house's history. We replace damaged boards with reclaimed timber matched by species, age and patina, so repairs disappear once sanded and finished.

Beyond board replacement we fix the structure: loose or squeaky boards re-secured, springy sections re-supported, old nail holes and splits stabilised. The point is not a patch that looks acceptable, it is a repair you forget ever happened.

What's included

  • Reclaimed board matching by species & age
  • Squeaky and loose board re-securing
  • Water and fire damage restoration
  • Hole, split and notch repairs
  • Sub-floor support corrections

Ideal for

  • Period property renovations
  • Water-damaged floors
  • Squeaky boards
  • Pre-listing refresh

Care & maintenance

Light Sanding & Refresh

from£12per m²guide price

A gentle refresh for floors in good condition — screening, cleaning and a fresh coat of finish, without a full strip-down.

Not every floor needs the full works. If your boards are level and the existing finish is simply tired, scratched or worn in the traffic paths, a light sanding (screening) removes just the top layer, and a fresh coat of hardwax oil or lacquer brings the colour and protection back.

The process is faster, cleaner and considerably cheaper than a full restoration, and because we are not removing much timber it can be repeated many times over the floor's life. Many of our customers book a refresh every three to five years and enjoy a floor that always looks newly finished.

What's included

  • Deep clean and decontamination
  • Screening pass on worn areas
  • Spot repair of minor scratches
  • One to two fresh coats of finish
  • Maintenance schedule advice

Ideal for

  • Well-kept floors
  • Rental turnarounds
  • Between-tenancy refresh
  • Maintenance cycles

Wooden Worktop Restoration

from£180per kitchenguide price

Solid wood worktops sanded and re-oiled to food-safe, water-resistant perfection — the kitchen refreshed without a refit.

A solid oak or iroko worktop is one of the hardest-working surfaces in a home, and after a few years of chopping, spills and hot pans it shows. Professional sanding takes out the scratches, stains and water marks, and fresh oil brings back the depth of colour that made you choose wood in the first place.

We finish with food-safe hardwax oils that resist water and daily wear, and we seal the end-grain and around sinks — the places where water always gets in first. The whole job typically takes a day, costs a fraction of replacement, and leaves you with a surface that looks freshly installed.

What's included

  • Full-depth scratch and stain removal
  • Water mark and heat mark repair
  • Food-safe hardwax oil finishing
  • End-grain and sink cut-out sealing
  • Daily-care guidance

Ideal for

  • Tired kitchen worktops
  • Rental refreshes
  • Island tops
  • Butcher blocks
